Giulio Mangano

Giulio Mangano is an Associate Professor (L.240) at the Department of Management and Production Engineering (DIGEP), Politecnico di Torino. He is a member of the CARS@PoliTO Center for Automotive Research and Sustainable Mobility and serves as Academic Advisor for the Degree in Engineering and Management.

Research interests include City logistics, Industrial and manufacturing engineering, Supply chain management, and Risk analysis for public-private partnerships (PPPs). His work focuses on Digital twin applications in logistics, Maintenance process optimization for warehouses, and innovative urban logistics models.

Recent publications analyze automation in hospital warehouses, AS/RS travel time formulas, and financial flexibility in toll road PPPs. His research trends emphasize Industry 4.0, supply chain resilience, and sustainable mobility solutions.

Advising includes supervising PhD candidates Simone Preziosa (2024-ongoing) and Andrea Ferrari (2021-2025). Teaching roles involve Industrial Plants and Project Management courses. He leads research projects like Influence of Low Impact Vehicles on Supply Chain Systems and private-funded studies.
