Giulio Lucarini is an Honorary Research Associate at the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research and Senior Researcher at the National Research Council of Italy, Institute of Heritage Science (CNR-ISPC). He is affiliated with the Department of Archaeology at the University of Cambridge, where he contributes to research in material culture, environmental archaeology, and lithic technology.
Research Interests: His work focuses on human-environment interactions, the emergence of productive economies in Africa and the Mediterranean, and the analysis of lithic artifacts to understand socioeconomic and settlement changes. Additional expertise includes radiocarbon dating and rock art site studies.
Laboratories & Research Groups: He is associated with the Prehistory and Protohistory Research Group and RES-DATA Lab at CNR-ISPC, and collaborates with Cambridge’s Archaeological Science Laboratories.
