Giuliana Giribaldi serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Oncology at the University of Turin, specializing in clinical biochemistry and molecular biology (SSD: BIO/12). She teaches biochemistry and biomedical sciences across 11 healthcare-focused degree programs including Physiotherapy, Nursing (Orbassano/Ivrea), Speech Therapy, Orthoptics, Biomedical Laboratory Techniques (Cuneo/Turin), Neurophysiopathology, and Medical Biotechnology.
Her research centers on two primary domains: identifying novel proteomic biomarkers for urological tumors to develop less invasive diagnostic/prognostic tools for bladder and kidney cancer, and investigating oxygen-loaded nanobubbles' role in modulating metalloprotease and chemokine secretion to accelerate wound healing in pathological conditions like diabetic foot and pressure ulcers. This work bridges molecular diagnostics and nanomedicine applications in oncology and tissue repair.
Dr. Giribaldi actively contributes to academic governance as a member of the Department Council and the Monitoring and Reassessment Commission. Office hours are conducted by prior telephone or email appointment at her Via Santena 5/bis office in Turin.
