معرفی
Giulia Perotti is an MPG Junior Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy and a Carlsberg Reintegration Fellow affiliated with the Niels Bohr Institute. Her research focuses on characterizing rocky planet-forming zones in protoplanetary disks using cutting-edge facilities like the James Webb Space Telescope and Atacama Large Millimeter/Submillimeter Array.
- Primary Affiliation: Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, Department of Planet and Star Formation
- Secondary Affiliation: Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen
Her work centers on the formation and evolution of exoplanets, particularly through high-resolution observations of inner disk regions where terrestrial planets are born. Using JWST and ALMA, she investigates water distribution and rocky planet formation in systems like PDS 70.
Recent research contributions include:
- Presenting at the ORIGINS Excellence Cluster Science Week (2024) with the study 'A Sharper View: JWST observations of protostars & inner disks'
- Delivering a seminar at ESO Garching (2024) on 'Water in the terrestrial planet-forming zone of the PDS 70 disk'
Scientific achievements:
- Carlsberg Reintegration Fellow
She actively participates in collaborative science initiatives like the ORIGINS Excellence Cluster and maintains a strong presence in international research networks.
