معرفی
Giulia Fredi is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Trento, Italy. Her research bridges the gap between composite materials, polymer engineering, and thermal management, with a focus on self-healing composites and bioderived polyesters for sustainable applications.
- Education:
- Bachelor's in Mechanical and Materials Engineering, University of Brescia (2014)
- Master's in Materials Engineering, University of Trento (2016)
- PhD in Materials, Mechatronics, and Systems Engineering, University of Trento (2020)
- Master in Communication of Science and Innovation, University of Trento (2022)
Research Interests center on three pillars:
- Multifunctional composites for thermal energy storage, combining mechanical strength with heat storage via phase change materials (PCMs).
- Bioderived furanoate polyesters (PAFs) for sustainable packaging and textiles, offering superior properties over petrochemical alternatives.
- In situ anionic polymerization of ε-caprolactam for rapid production of polyamide-6 composites, with process optimization for industrial scalability.
Recent publications reflect her expertise in self-healing composites, thermal conductivity enhancement, and sustainable polymer systems. Her work spans experimental validation, process modeling, and functional characterization of advanced materials.
