Giulia Bruno

Giulia Bruno is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the WSL Institute for Snow and Avalanche Research (SLF) in Davos, Switzerland. Her work focuses on understanding compound eco-hydrological extremes, particularly in mountain regions. Previously, she was a Postdoc at the Leibniz Institute of Freshwater Ecology and Inland Fisheries (Germany) from 2023 to 2024 and completed her PhD at the University of Genoa and CIMA Research Foundation (Italy) between 2019 and 2023. She is affiliated with the Snow and Atmosphere Unit and the Hydrology & Climate Impacts in Mountain Regions Group.

Research Interests: Giulia's research centers on analyzing the occurrence, development, and temporal changes of compound extremes in ecological and hydrological systems, with a specific emphasis on mountainous environments. Her work integrates climate science, hydrology, and ecological modeling to address complex environmental challenges.
