Giovanni Tagliani is an economist at the UCL Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP), with academic foundations from the University of Bologna (BSc), University of Ferrara (MSc in Green Economy), and University of Cambridge (MPhil in Development Studies). His work bridges development, industrial, and environmental economics, focusing on innovation and sustainable transitions through structural dynamics and circular economy frameworks.
Research highlights include analyzing National Oil Companies' dual roles in climate policy and economic infrastructure, green industrial strategies in Thailand's bioeconomy, and aligning Brazilian State-Owned Enterprises with inclusive transformation goals via a mission-oriented framework. He actively contributes to policy-oriented projects with institutions like the Brazilian Ministry of Management and Innovation and the Natural Resource Governance Institute.
