Giovanni Rizza

Giovanni Rizza is a Fixed-term Assistant Professor at the Department of Management and Production Engineering (DIGEP), Politecnico di Torino. He is also a member of the Interdepartmental Center IAM@PoliTo (Integrated Additive Manufacturing).

• Research Interests: Additive Manufacturing, Dimensional Accuracy, Electron Beam Melting (EBM), Powder Bed Fusion (PBF-EB), Phase Field Modeling, Surface Roughness.
• Scientific Branch: IIND-04/A - Manufacturing Technologies and Systems (Area 0009 - Industrial and Information Engineering).
• Skills: ERC sectors PE8_10 (Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Design), PE8_9 (Production Technology, Process Engineering), aligned with SDG Goal 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production).

Teaching Activities include roles as Teaching Assistant for Additive Manufacturing courses (Electron Beam Powder Bed Fusion) and Reverse Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, spanning academic years 2022/23–2025/26.

Research Groups: Collaborates with the Fabbricazione additiva (DIGEP) group, focusing on computational efficiency in additive manufacturing processes.
