Giovanni Gallo, born in 1962, is a Full Professor of Computer Science at the University of Catania since 2001. He teaches courses in Computer Graphics and Advanced Computer Graphics for the Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Computer Science, as well as Basics of Computing for the Master's Degree in Data Science. Since 2024, he has served as the President (Coordinator) of the Interdepartmental Master's Degree in Data Science.
His research focuses on interdisciplinary applications of Computer Graphics, Image Processing, and Data Analysis. He is a member of the IPLab research group at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science (DMI) and collaborates with the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania and the Steve Jobs Technical Institute in Caltagirone.
