Giovanna Agostini is a Professor at Temple University Rome, where she has taught Italian language courses since 1995. Her teaching emphasizes the communicative approach, integrating insights from psychology, language pedagogy, and nonverbal communication to foster cultural engagement and language proficiency.
- Degrees: Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language (Ditals 2), Universita’di Siena; Post Graduate Diploma in Art Psychotherapy, Goldsmith College, University of London; B.F.A. in Dance with a minor in Psychology, Ohio University.
Her research and pedagogical practice focus on innovative methods for Italian language instruction, combining psychological principles and nonverbal communication strategies to enhance student confidence and cultural immersion.
Prof. Agostini teaches all levels of Italian language, from elementary to intermediate, through courses such as ITAL 1001, 1002, 2001, and 2002. She previously worked at Parliamo Italiano, an Italian language school in New York City affiliated with Hunter College.
