Giorgos Elpidoforou

Giorgos Elpidoforou is a Climate Change Engineer at the Energy, Environment & Water Research Center (EEWRC) of The Cyprus Institute. He holds an MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering and is a certified Energy Auditor in Cyprus and Passive House designer approved by the Passive House Institute. His work focuses on advancing energy transition and environmental sustainability through innovation in renewable energy systems, energy audits, and sustainable design practices.

Giorgos's research interests span renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency in buildings, and climate change mitigation strategies. He contributes to projects promoting sustainable development and environmental awareness, aiming to improve quality of life through informed energy policies and practices.

Proficient in Greek and English, he actively engages in bridging technical expertise with practical applications to address contemporary environmental challenges.
