معرفی
Giorgio Tani is an Associate Professor of Naval Architecture in the Department of Naval, Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering (DITEN) at the University of Genoa, Italy. His expertise lies in experimental naval architecture, ship hydrodynamics, cavitation phenomena and underwater radiated noise control.
Research interests focus on experimental investigation of propeller cavitation, hydrofoil bubble dynamics, and full-scale optimization of propellers for noise reduction. He employs advanced techniques such as computer-vision based image processing and acoustic characterization of cavitation tunnels to advance marine propulsion technologies.
Recent publications (2023-2025) reveal a concentrated effort on mitigating underwater noise from ship propellers, understanding erosion patterns at blade roots, and refining experimental methodologies for cavitation studies, positioning his work at the intersection of applied marine engineering and environmental acoustics.
