Gioia Paradisi

Gioia Paradisi is a Full Professor at the Department of European, American and Intercultural Studies, Sapienza University of Rome. Her career spans roles as Researcher (2011-2024), Associate Professor (2019-2024), and current Full Professor (2024-2025), with prior positions at University of Calabria (2004-2011) and University of Cassino (1994-1995, 1995-1996). She specializes in editing, translating, and commenting Old French, Occitan, and Italian medieval texts, focusing on cultural history of emotions, reception of medieval Romance literature, and legacy of Antiquity in medieval cultures.
