Gina Agostini-Walesch

Gina Agostini-Walesch is a Research Assistant Professor at Midwestern University's College of Dental Medicine - Arizona. A biological anthropologist by training, she specializes in large-scale health and biology research projects, with current work spanning dental biomaterials, aerosol dynamics, and clinical dentistry applications.

Her research examines dental material performance, infection control protocols, and CBCT imaging applications. Recent publications focus on dentin extracellular matrix stabilization using marine extracts and tooth whitening efficacy comparisons between bleaching gels and LED technologies.

Agostini-Walesch teaches courses in dental materials science, research methods, and statistics. She has developed preclinical rotations in 3D printing technologies and lectures on topics including biocompatibility of dental materials, infection control, and digital dentistry innovations.

As Vice President of Arizona's AADOCR chapter, she promotes dental research collaboration. Her clinical research has investigated aerosol spread mitigation during ultrasonic scaling procedures, especially relevant in pandemic conditions.
