معرفی
Gilles DRUG is a Professor at the University of Lorraine and Deputy Director of the LOTERR laboratory. He holds a doctorate in continental hydrology (2003) and an accreditation to supervise research from Paris-Diderot University (2013). His work bridges climate science, hydrology, and urban environmental studies, focusing on climate change impacts on water resources and urban thermal dynamics.
- Education: Graduate studies at the Faculty of Geography and Planning (Strasbourg), HDR in 2013.
- Current research: Climate change adaptation, hydrosystem modeling, multi-risk frameworks, urban cooling, remote sensing applications.
- Projects: ANR CIPRHES, AORAL (Eurometropolis of Metz), MIYAWAKI (urban microforests).
- Grants: Funded by Fernand Braudel Doctoral School (ED 411), ANR CIPRHES, and AERM (MIRHYADE).
His recent work emphasizes spatio-temporal analysis of urbanized spaces, climate risk assessment through impact chains, and drone-based monitoring of thermal environments. Publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches to environmental governance and urban resilience.
He supervises doctoral students researching climate adaptation in French, Moroccan, and West African contexts, including:
- Pierre Marcou (Vosges water resources)
- Ikrame Boutirame (France-Morocco drought management)
- Habal Traoré (Abidjan peri-urban risks)
- El Khalfi Hajar (low-flow hydrological modeling)
