Gilbert Miito is an Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist in Air Quality at the University of Idaho, affiliated with the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and the Department of Animal, Veterinary and Food Sciences. He is based at the Twin Falls Research and Extension Center, where he conducts applied research and outreach focused on improving environmental sustainability in animal agriculture.

His work bridges scientific research with extension outreach to support producers and policymakers.
Gilbert also contributes to extension programming, translating research findings into practical strategies for improving air quality in agricultural operations. He speaks Ganda in addition to English, reflecting his international academic background.
