Dr. Gilbert Franco is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology and Human Services at Beacon College. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Walden University, an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University, an M.S. in Organizational Psychology from Walden University, and a B.A. in Psychology from UC San Diego.
His research focuses on productivity standards in therapy, therapist work environments, industrial-organizational psychology, and marriage and family therapy. He volunteers as a methodologist in the CEITR Research Lab at the University of Phoenix and previously served as Clinical Director at the McAlister Institute.
Dr. Franco’s publications emphasize therapeutic productivity, digital tools in therapy, and workplace dynamics. His recent work explores remote work leadership and employee wellbeing. He has contributed to journals like Frontiers in Psychology and The Psychologist-Manager Journal.
Notably, he advocates for clinicians’ work-life balance and has pioneered research on using videogames in narrative therapy. His career combines academic research with clinical leadership, addressing both organizational and therapeutic challenges.
