Dr. Gianna Palmieri is a Senior Researcher at the National Research Council of Italy (CNR) Institute of Biosciences and Bioresources (IBBR) Naples branch. With over 26 years of experience in academic and industrial research, her work spans protein biochemistry, enzyme characterization, and biotechnological applications.
- 2000–present: Research Staff Scientist at CNR Institutes
- 1997–2003: Teaching and thesis supervision in Chemistry
- 1990: Visiting Scientist at MIT
Her research focuses on:
- Structure/function relationships of industrial enzymes
- Acylpeptide hydrolases (APEH) in cancer and antioxidant systems
