Gianluca Grilli is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics and Management at the University of Trento. His research focuses on environmental economics, agricultural policy, and resource management with emphasis on valuation of ecosystem services, policy design, and behavioral aspects of environmental decision-making. He has published extensively on topics including urban beekeeping, payment for ecosystem services, agricultural diversification in mountain regions, and water quality management. Grilli teaches courses on climate change economics, environmental policy, and sustainable agriculture.
His work integrates quantitative methods like choice experiments, contingent valuation, and econometric modeling with interdisciplinary approaches to address real-world challenges. Recent projects analyze farmers' participation in PES programs, cost-benefit trade-offs in residential energy upgrades, and the impact of weather conditions on ecosystem service valuation.
