Giada Di Stefano serves as Associate Professor of Strategy at Bocconi University, where she directs the DBA program at SDA Bocconi. She holds affiliations with BELSS and iCrios research centers, and serves on the Ethics Committee and Executive Committee of the Department of Management and Technology. Previously a faculty member at HEC Paris and product manager at L'Oréal Paris, she maintains active leadership roles in the Academy of Management and Strategic Management Society.
Her research centers on knowledge creation and transfer dynamics within organizational ecosystems, employing mixed-method approaches with emphasis on field experiments. She investigates how creative industries—from gourmet cuisine to computer programming—navigate innovation challenges through organizational learning and strategic adaptation, with particular focus on status systems and knowledge barriers.
Recent publications reveal consistent exploration of organizational responses to external shocks (online reviews, status disruptions) and internal knowledge flows, bridging organization theory with strategic management through experimental fieldwork in real-world creative contexts.
