Giacomo Marzi

Giacomo Marzi is an Associate Professor of Management at the IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca (Italy). He also serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Strategic Change, and Technology Analysis & Strategic Management. Previously, he was a Senior Lecturer in Strategy and Enterprise at the University of Lincoln (UK). His research focuses on Innovation Management, New Product Development, and Strategic Management, with notable contributions to cybersecurity, digital transformation, and entrepreneurship education.

Marzi has authored three books and numerous articles in journals such as International Journal of Management Reviews, Technovation, and Journal of Business Research. He supervises PhD and Post-Doctoral researchers in Innovation Management and Strategic Management. His teaching spans courses like Management of Innovation, Principles of Management, and Bibliometric Analyses and Literature Reviews.

His research emphasizes practical tools like the K-Alpha Calculator and CLC Estimator, designed to enhance reliability in qualitative research and latent construct analysis. He actively engages with scholarly communities including the Academy of Management and the European Academy of Management.

Marzi’s work bridges academic research and industry practice, addressing challenges in digital platforms, cybersecurity strategies, and organizational resilience. His recent studies explore cognitive biases in new product development and the interplay between AI and sustainable innovation.
