Ghislaine Atkins is a Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Central Florida (UCF), within the College of Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (2021), an M.A. in Social Psychology from San Francisco State University, and a B.S. in Psychology (with a minor in African-American Studies) from UCF itself (2011).

Her research focuses on interdisciplinary topics such as attachment theory in familial caregiving for aging adults, mental health outcomes, and intersections with Pan-Africanism and Black psychology. Though she currently does not maintain an active research program, her teaching portfolio includes courses on general psychology, social psychology, motivation and emotion, and diversity studies. She has collaborated across disciplines including public health, medical sociology, and nursing.
