Getahun Benti

Getahun Benti is a Professor of History at Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUC), specializing in African history and urban studies. He earned his Ph.D. from Michigan State University in 2000 and has been affiliated with SIUC since that year. His teaching portfolio includes African history, world history, and a comparative slavery course.
