Gert Heinrich

Professor Gert Heinrich is a leading researcher at the Leibniz Institute for Polymer Research Dresden (IPF), specializing in polymer science and materials engineering with emphasis on elastomers and composite systems.

His research portfolio includes:

• Fracture mechanics of reinforced elastomer blends
• Self-healing polymer systems (bromobutyl rubber)
• Crack propagation modeling in heterogeneous materials
• Biomaterial development for tissue engineering
• Industrial applications in tire technology and composite manufacturing
