Max Planck Institute for Software Systemsمعرفی
Germano Schafaschek is a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Software Systems (MPI-SWS) in the Control Software Systems Group, led by Anne-Kathrin Schmuck. His work focuses on modeling and control of discrete-event systems, leveraging tropical semirings and supervisory control theory. He also explores formal languages, automata, and Petri nets within the broader context of control systems and formal methods.
Previously, he served as a teaching and research assistant and completed his PhD in the Control Systems Group at TU Berlin under the supervision of Jörg Raisch and Laurent Hardouin. He holds a BSc and MSc in Control and Automation Engineering from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil.
- Education:
- Bachelor’s: Control and Automation Engineering, Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil)
- Master’s: Automation Systems Engineering, Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil)
His research emphasizes theoretical foundations of control systems, with applications to discrete-event systems and formal verification methods. He is affiliated with MPI-SWS’s interdisciplinary environment, contributing to advancements in software systems and control theory.
