Gerhard Müller

Gerhard Müller is Professor of Physics at the University of Rhode Island, specializing in theoretical condensed matter physics and quantum systems. His research explores low-dimensional magnetism, spin dynamics, quantum integrability, and statistical mechanics of biological systems. He developed pedagogical resources including the 'Introduction to the Bethe Ansatz' series and 'The Recursion Method' monograph.

Research areas include quantum chaos, jammed granular matter, lattice gases, and fractional exclusion statistics. Current investigations focus on mechanical responses of molecular chains under tension/torque and self-gravitating quantum gases.
