معرفی
Prof. Dr. Gergely Endrödi is a W2 (Associate) Professor at the Faculty of Physics, University of Bielefeld, specializing in theoretical particle physics and lattice field theory. He leads projects in the Collaborative Research Center CRC-TR 211, focusing on strongly interacting matter under extreme conditions, with applications to ultra-relativistic heavy ion collisions, neutron stars, and early universe cosmology.
- Current research topics include: QCD phase diagram, confinement, chiral symmetry breaking, cosmological phase transitions, electromagnetic background fields in quantum field theories, and simulation algorithms for lattice field theories.
- He is affiliated with the Bielefeld Center for Data Science (BiCDaS) and the Bielefeld Graduate School in Theoretical Sciences.
- His work addresses fundamental questions about matter under extreme conditions, such as the composition of compact neutron stars and gravitational wave spectra from primordial phase transitions.
Scientific Contributions:
- Led Emmy Noether Junior Research Group (completed)
- Key role in CRC-TR 211 Transregio Collaborative Research Center
- Active in interdisciplinary research at the interface of physics, cosmology, and computational methods
Prof. Endrödi’s research combines numerical lattice simulations with continuum quantum field theory to explore high-energy phenomena, supported by third-party funding from the German Research Foundation (DFG).
