Gereon Quick

Gereon Quick is a Professor in the Department of Mathematical Sciences at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), where he leads the Geometry and Topology Group. His research focuses on Homotopy Theory and its applications in Algebraic Geometry and Arithmetic Geometry.

• Positions: Professor at NTNU since 2019, Associate Professor at NTNU (2015-2019), Postdoctoral Fellowships at Harvard, IAS Princeton, and Universität Münster

Research Interests center on Motivic Homotopy Theory, Chromatic Homotopy, Profinite Topology, and Deligne Cohomology. His work bridges abstract homotopy theory with concrete problems in algebraic geometry, such as detecting non-algebraic classes and formality in real projective groups.

Recent Publications include studies on Thom Morphism, Motivic Brouwer Degree, and Real Projective Formality, reflecting his focus on geometric and topological invariants. Scientific Awards include
