Gerard Arbat Pujolras is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemical, Agricultural and Agri-Food Engineering at the University of Girona's Polytechnic School. He teaches in the Degree in Agri-Food Engineering and the Master's in Water Resources Science and Technology.

Dr. Arbat Pujolras directs the international project PROMEDRICE under the PRIMA-Horizon 2020 program, which aims to develop effective farming practices to protect water resources in Mediterranean rice-based ecosystems. The project involves 12 entities from 5 Mediterranean countries. He also participates in teaching innovation projects and is a member of the Teaching Innovation Network for Evaluation at the University of Girona.
He is an active researcher with over 60 publications in JCR-indexed journals and serves as a reviewer for prestigious journals.
