Gerald Nestadt, MD, MPH is a Professor at the School of Medicine, Johns Hopkins University, specializing in Mental Health and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). With over 20 years of clinical and research experience in psychiatry, he leads the OCD Family Study, a multidisciplinary initiative combining clinical treatment and research to address OCD.
His work spans psychiatric genetics, neuroscience, and mental hygiene, with recent focus on perinatal and postpartum OCD. Collaborations include family members Paul Nestadt (suicide research) and Danielle Nestadt (public health, substance abuse).
