Georgios Koronis

Dr. Georgios Koronis is an Assistant Professor in the Product & Systems Design Engineering Department at the University of the Aegean. He holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Design and Advanced Manufacturing from the University of Lisbon (2014) and a Diploma in Product and Systems Design Engineering from the University of the Aegean (2009). His research focuses on design science, creativity, sustainable design, and material selection, emphasizing innovations in design education and eco-friendly manufacturing processes. He has authored over 20 peer-reviewed publications and holds an h-index of 9.

Dr. Koronis teaches core courses such as Design Theory and Methodology, Conceptual Product Design, and Detail Product Design. His work bridges creative design methodologies with practical applications in green composites and cost modeling. Notable contributions include studies on design brief optimization, cross-cultural creativity in design education, and eco-impact assessments of bio-composites.

Professional experience includes a Research Fellowship at Singapore University of Technology and Design (2016–2022), alongside industry roles in industrial design and 3D modeling. His research highlights include the development of green composites for automotive parts and empirical studies on gender diversity in creative outcomes.
