معرفی
Associate Professor Georgina Clark is a distinguished immunologist at The University of Sydney's School of Medicine, serving as Group Leader of Dendritic Cell Research at the ANZAC Research Institute and holding a Senior Research Fellow position. Her research focuses on developing therapeutic monoclonal antibodies targeting human myeloid and dendritic cell surface molecules for cancer immunotherapy applications.
Dr. Clark's primary research interests include:
- Developing immune therapies for hematological malignancies
- Understanding dendritic cell biology in cancer immunity
- Characterizing cell surface molecules on immune cells
- Developing monoclonal antibodies for therapeutic applications
- Investigating leucocyte membrane molecules, particularly CD300 family members
Her work demonstrates a consistent focus on translating basic immunology discoveries into clinical applications, with particular emphasis on dendritic cell-based cancer immunotherapies. Analysis of her recent publications reveals strong themes in acute myeloid leukemia research, dendritic cell targeting strategies, and the development of novel monoclonal antibodies against cell surface markers like CD300f, CD83, and CD302.
Dr. Clark has received significant research funding including a 2017 Cancer Institute NSW Translational Program Grant for 'Therapeutic Antibody Translation into Patients' and a 2015 NHMRC Development Grant for 'Development of a New Specific Immunosuppressive Monoclonal Antibody to Advance Transplantation.'
She actively contributes to the immunology community through her membership in the Australasian Society of Immunology, Human Cell Differentiation Molecules Council (which oversees the HLDA Workshops for CD molecule nomenclature), and Sydney Cancer Partners.
