Georgina Bingham is a Research Professor in Entomology at UNL's College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. Her research addresses global food security through stored product pest management and vector control innovations.
Bingham develops practical solutions for smallholder farmers including insecticide-treated storage bags ('ZeroFly®') and studies pesticide resistance mechanisms. Her field work spans Tanzania, Ghana and Ivory Coast, focusing on sustainable agriculture practices.
She teaches 'Insects of Stored Products' and mentors young scientists in interdisciplinary food security research. Honors include Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society and finalist for the UK Young Scientist award.
