Georgia Traganou (also known as Jilly Traganou) is a Professor of Architecture and Urbanism at Parsons School of Design, The New School, and serves as Visiting Professor of Architectural and Urban Humanities at the Manchester School of Architecture. She holds affiliate roles with the Doctorate in Public and Urban Policy (Schools of Public Engagement) and the Department of Politics at The New School for Social Research. She is co-editor-in-chief of Design and Culture.
Her research explores intersections of design, spatial agency, and socio-political dynamics, with active projects on prefigurative politics (e.g., Occupy, Standing Rock) and the Decolonizing Urbanism initiative. Her work addresses migration, climate displacement, and material engagement in public spaces.
