Georgia McCorkill is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Fashion and Textiles at RMIT University. She specializes in sustainable design strategies, focusing on upcycling, repair, and co-design for bespoke and micropreneur contexts. Her current project Fashion Fix investigates garment repair through industry, community, and activist lenses. She teaches design studios in the Bachelor of Fashion (Design) program, integrating ethical practices and textile waste innovation. Supervision is open for Masters and PhD students.
Research interests include Design Practice Research, Co-design, Sustainable Fashion, and Product Service Systems. Notable projects explore urban textile flows, historical fashion revival, and sensory embroidery practices.
