Georgia Koulermou

Dr. Georgia Koulermou is a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Nicosia Medical School. She is a certified cosmetic and reconstructive surgeon with expertise in breast reconstruction, skin melanoma, and burn disease. She graduated from the Medical School of the University of Athens, where she also completed her surgical specialization in plastic surgery and earned a Doctorate in Medicine with a thesis on skin melanoma epidemiology in Greece.

Her research focuses on breast reconstruction post-mastectomy, burn management, and diagnostic criteria for cutaneous melanoma. Notable awards include recognition from the Greek Surgical Association, Memorial Hospital, and the Greek Association of Wounds.

From 1996–2017, she directed the Plastic Surgery Clinic and Burns Unit at Archbishop Makarios Hospital in Nicosia. Currently, she practices in the private sector while maintaining academic involvement. Her 2017 book, Clinical differential diagnosis of cutaneous melanoma, further highlights her contributions to dermatological oncology.
