Georgette M. Smith

Dr. Georgette M. Smith is a Professor with Tenure and Associate Provost for Education Innovation & Student Life at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She holds a BSN from Hartwick College, an MSN in Child and Adolescent Mental Health from Columbia University, and a PhD in Nursing from MUSC. Her research focuses on pediatric epilepsy self-management, mental health comorbidities, and nursing education innovations. She has led initiatives like the Charleston Student Health & Wellbeing Consortium and secured grants from SAMHSA, Duke Endowment, and HRSA to advance nursing education and substance-use training.
