Georgetta Gancarz is a Professor at Seattle Central College's Humanities Department with over 35 years of global teaching experience. She specializes in painting, printmaking, art history, and publishing arts, and is an award-winning filmmaker. Her roles include faculty advisor for Cooperative Education and instructor in credit/non-credit classes across Humanities, Continuing Education, and International departments.
Education: Graduated from the School of Visual Arts and Fordham University. Certifications in business arts, arts leadership, international education, and curriculum design. Trained in Florence, Italy (fine arts/curriculum design) and Poland (stained glass).
Research interests focus on bridging artistic practice with education, cultural preservation, and cross-disciplinary publishing. She emphasizes student leadership development through creative exploration and has pioneered publishing courses encouraging multilingual book writing.
Major achievements include 25 authored books, global museum collections, and curated exhibitions in the US and Europe. Her teaching philosophy prioritizes student-centered learning environments that blend technical skill with emotional support.
