Georges Adamczyk is Professor Emeritus and Associate Professor at the University of Montreal's School of Architecture. His expertise centers on architectural history and theory, particularly modernist movements, urban architecture, design competitions, and pedagogical approaches to architectural projects.
Education: Master's in Environmental Planning from University of Montreal, Bachelor's in 3D Design from UQAM.
Research Focus: Examines architectural competitions as cultural artifacts, investigates contemporary architectural theory in relation to sustainability and urbanism, and studies the pedagogical dimensions of architectural design processes.
Awards: Honorary Member of the Association des designers industriels du Québec.
Administrative Roles: Served as Director of the School of Architecture (1999-2007) and held leadership positions at UQAM's Design Centre. Currently contributes to LEAP (Laboratory for the Study of Potential Architecture).
