George Skiadopoulos is a Professor of Finance at Queen Mary University of London and the University of Piraeus. He serves as co-founder and director of the Institute of Finance and Financial Regulation (IFFR) and holds an Honorary Senior Visiting Fellowship at Bayes Business School, City University of London. He is a member of ESMA’s Consultative Working Group on Investor Trends & Research, advising on European financial market policies.
Education: PhD in Finance (University of Warwick), MSc in Mathematical Economics and Econometrics (London School of Economics), and Ptychion in Economics (first-class honors, Athens University of Economics and Business).
Research focuses on commodities, climate finance & ESG, financial derivatives, and asset pricing. His work bridges academia and policy, influencing regulatory frameworks through impactful studies cited by the U.S. SEC, OECD, and ESMA.
