Dr. George Papadakis is Professor in the Department of Natural Resources and Agricultural Engineering at the Agricultural University of Athens (AUA). His research specializes in renewable energy applications for rural development, particularly hybrid energy systems for desalination, solar thermal technologies, and biomass energy solutions.
He has coordinated 21 international research projects funded by the European Union and bilateral partnerships. Current work includes organic Rankine cycle systems for desalination and biomass district heating design. His research group includes 8 members with 6 PhD students.
Honored as CIGR Fellow, Papadakis serves on editorial boards of energy journals and has authored over 125 publications. His work advances sustainable energy solutions for Mediterranean communities.
