George P. Smith, II is a Professor of Law at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., where he has served since 1977. A graduate of Indiana University (B.A. 1961, JD 1964) and Columbia University (LLM 1975), he has held prestigious fellowships including a Commonwealth fellowship at Yale Law School’s Program in Law and Medicine (1976–1977). His interdisciplinary research focuses on intersections of law, ethics, and medical/biological issues.
