George Loewenstein is the Herbert A. Simon University Professor of Economics and Psychology at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU), affiliated with the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences. He holds visiting professorships at the London School of Economics, Arctic University of Norway, and BRIQ Institute at the University of Bonn. His research bridges psychology and economics, focusing on behavioral economics, neuroeconomics, decision-making processes, and policy applications like libertarian paternalism.
