George Foster is the Konosuke Matsushita Professor of Management at Stanford Graduate School of Business, with academic appointments at the University of Chicago and Australian Graduate School of Management. He directs initiatives such as the Sports Management Initiative and Stanford Latino Entrepreneurship Initiative. Foster holds honorary doctorates from the University of Ghent and University of Vaasa, and has been recognized with the Order of Australia (AM) and multiple research awards, including the Accenture Award.
Education: B.Ec (First Class Honours, University Medal) and M.Ec from the University of Sydney, and a PhD from Stanford University. His research focuses on entrepreneurship, early-stage companies, sports business management, and financial analysis.
