George CHATZIEGEORGIOU serves as a Research Fellow at Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology, attached to the Department of Materials, Mechanics, Surfaces and Aging (MMSV). He is affiliated with the LEM3 Laboratory (UMR CNRS 7239), a joint research unit operated by the University of Lorraine, CNRS, and Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology.
His research spans Materials Science, Mechanics, Surface Engineering, and Aging of Materials, with emphasis on microstructure analysis and mechanical behavior of materials. The LEM3 Laboratory provides collaborative infrastructure including MécaRhéo, MicroMat, Procédés, and Calcul intensif platforms for advanced experimental and computational research.
Holding the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR), George CHATZIEGEORGIOU is qualified to supervise doctoral candidates.
