Georg Regensburger

Prof. Dr. Georg Regensburger is a full Professor at the Institute of Mathematics, University of Kassel, specializing in Algorithmic Algebra and Discrete Mathematics. His research combines algebraic and geometric methods with symbolic computation to address problems from analysis and applications. He has held faculty positions at University of Kassel and previously at Johannes Kepler University Linz, where he completed his habilitation in 2019.

Regensburger's research focuses on the intersection of pure mathematics and computational applications. His work spans several interconnected areas including integro-differential algebras and boundary problems, operator algebras and algebraic systems theory, positive solutions of generalized polynomial equations, and applications of polyhedral geometry to metabolic networks.
