Georg Eckert (1912–1974) was a German historian and educator, renowned for his contributions to history education and efforts to promote international understanding through textbook reform. He held the rank of Professor at the Pädagogische Hochschule Braunschweig (previously Kant Teacher Training College) from 1952, where he focused on democratizing teacher training. His academic work centered on the history of the German workers' movement and social history, and he pioneered the analysis of biased stereotypes in educational materials.
