Geoffrey P. Luke

Geoffrey P. Luke is Associate Professor of Engineering at Dartmouth's Thayer School of Engineering, directing the Functional and Molecular Imaging Lab. His research develops nanoparticle-enhanced ultrasound and photoacoustic imaging for cancer diagnostics and therapy. Current projects include multiplex imaging of tumor biomarkers using phase-change nanodroplets and NIH-funded oral cancer detection systems.

Publications focus on advanced contrast agents (gold nanorods, perfluorocarbon nanodroplets) and wavelength-optimized spectroscopic imaging for applications in sentinel lymph node mapping and image-guided photothermal therapy. Recent work emphasizes clinical translation of hybrid imaging modalities.
