Geoffrey L. Buckley

Geoffrey L. Buckley is Professor of Geography and Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Director of Experiential Learning in the Honors Tutorial College at Ohio University, affiliated with the College of Arts and Sciences. He has over two decades of teaching experience in the Department of Geography and currently leads experiential learning initiatives.

These works span subfields such as environmental injustice, urban greening, national park management, and the legacy of segregation.

Geoffrey L. Buckley has advised multiple Master’s students in Geography and Environmental Studies, focusing on topics like national park conservation, urban land reuse, and racial justice in street art. He has secured research support for projects related to urban sustainability and environmental justice, particularly in post-industrial cities. His leadership in the Honors Tutorial College underscores his commitment to high-impact educational practices and student mentorship.
