Geo Wyex is a Visiting Professor (2022-2023) at the Fine Arts Department of the Stuart Weitzman School of Design, University of Pennsylvania. His practice spans music, performance, poetry, and sound, with a focus on black Atlantic poetics, investigative journalism, and storytelling theater. His project ATM FM (2020) explores themes of water, mud, and extractive industries through an imaginary city framework. Wyex has exhibited at MoMA PS1, Stedelijk Museum, and the Dutch National Opera, among others.
He teaches performance workshops and advises at De Ateliers residency program in Amsterdam. Past residencies include the Rijksakademie (2015-2016). Collaborators include A.K. Burns, Every Ocean Hughes, and Tourmaline. Wyex is currently based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
